For what it's worth, actual lenses would be totally unnecessary, in my opinion. However, if you want to go to the effort, that's ok too... I think the basic finished carving with the wire glass frames is excellent as is...

Thumbs up Re: Santa Snack and a Smile

Doug ... I like him because he's a different type of Santa .. not your regular type .. but sort of a folk art type of Santa .. very impressive ..

I agree with Claude. I don't think you need to put lenses in the glasses. As is the wire frames are the perfect addition to the face. I also like the way you have his coat flare. I always have trouble making a clean cut where the inside of the coat and the body come together. Maybe I'm trying to take it too deep.

Very nice work.

I like your Santa, I too think the glasses are great as is. Nice touch. I like the bag with the toys in it.

I like the flow of the beard..great job! But my favorite part is the back view where his rump sticks out and his bow-legs really show.

Thank you all for your compliments, it's really nice to see them!

I'm starting a similar Santa, The buyer requested Santa holding an empty shot glass cause"Grandpa always told him Santa was full of milk and cookies by the time he got there and wanted something stronger. So I always left some whiskey"
He wants a Santa to remember Grandpa. Cheers

I would like some constructive critiques to help me improve.

I'll start; He's to stiff and posed, he needs to be more relaxed and natural.
The beard needs to be more curly.

You will not hurt my feelings, I would truly like your input!
Thanks in advance,
Doug
