Default Santa Pencils

Here are a couple of pics of some Santa pencils that I carved for my coworkers for Christmas. They are based on the article by Ron Johnson in the Whittling edition of W.C.I.. I made 35+ of these, and had a blast doing them. Being a newbie, mine are not as good as Ron's but I am pretty happy with the way they turned out.

Good looking pencils!! They will bring a bunch of smiles. Carved pencils are a hit with every one from about 4 to 94. Keep up the good work :<).
Happy Holidays

Thanks everyone! I think my coworkers will enjoy them. We work in an office setting so I figured that even if they don't like them they can sharpen 'em up and use them. We have our office Christmas party next week. I'll let you know how it goes.

Those are nice looking pencils. I like the way you carved them on Christmas pencils.

Thanks Dan! I looked for some generic red and green pencils to carve, but couldn't find any at the local stores. I finally ran across a couple of packs of Christmas pencils that I thought would look good. They are round so it wasn't as easy to keep everything centered like it would have been on an a hexagon shaped pencil. The hexagon shaped ones have the ridge that you can use to as a reference to line up the nose, mouth, etc..
