| | Santa Ornaments Hi everyone! I finally finished four ornaments, with a lot more to finish for friends and family. Seems the list gets longer every year ;O).
These are carved form a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 12" piece of basswood cut diagonal along the 12" length then cut into six 4" long pieces.
No real pattern used, just carved till they kinda looked like Santa. I can never make two the same as I like to make minute changes to make each an original. Hope you enjoy.

definitely some experience carving faces,,,
the faded looking red in the hat (hard for me to achieve) sets off the great paint job
thanks for sharing,
looks like i finely will get in some carving time while Hurricane Humberto wanders through the area, maybe i need to get them ornaments started during the power outages |

And I have not forgotten your generous invitation to sit with you at the Dayton show for a quick look see at the way you do these fellows and their eyes. Still planning on going too.
