Default Santa hat

I have been trying to carve a Santa hat that flops over on top and the little ball comes down to about the ear. I am having a hard time visualizing all the folds and wrinkles. ??? Does anyone know of a pattern like this? I thought about getting a real hat and looking at it but it is the wrong time of the year for that.

Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Default Re: Santa hat

I would sugest just taking a small hand towel, they are about the same waight cloth as a hat of this type. tie one end closed. then slip it over a small ball to act as a head then you can let it drape to one side. this shuld give you a good feel for Santas hat. Or you could go on line and do a search.
