Default Santa/Elf Ornaments

Here are a couple ornaments I carved from 1/2 basswood. They are about2 1/2 inches by 6inches and painted with acrylics and finished with oil and BLO. I participated in a carving exchange and I received an ornament like this from Bill Russell in New York and he included a blank for me to carve one myself. Bill is a very good carver and it is a fun little project to do. They are in the "no-seeum" style. The one picture with the Santa with the round sign is Bill's version and also has my version in the nude. Anyway, thanks for looking as always.

Corey

Corey, great job on the carvings. I've been in class w/ Bill and he is a wonderful gentlemen and an excellent carver.

Keep up the good work!

Corey,
Very nicely done. I have done a lot of ornaments (between 60 - 70 each Christmas) I like yours a lot more than any of the ones that I have done. The carving and the paint are both very good. Thanks for sharing.

Safe Carving and God Bless,

Mark

Thanks Chuck, I agree a plus not having to do eyes on these. I am going to make some more and make some other changes. Thanks Bill, I always like to do Santas as well. Got to get to Mark Aker's Santa bust soon!
Mark, thanks, give it a try. If you blow up the pics you have a pattern. Mine are about 6 inches tall. They are fairly easy to do.

Corey
