Here's the Santa I did the finished today. He's going to be a gift for my Mother-in Law for Christmas. I had problems trying to get a clear picture, too much glare darn it. Baby

Mel, Don't use your onboard flash! Take the carving out into the sun and snap a photo without the flash--that will eliminate the glare! It still looks good, though! Bob Last edited by BobD; 10-14-2005 at 04:37 PM. |

Agree hole heartedly the best way to take pictures are outside in natural light no glare and you get the right shadows. Looks like a nice santa I am sure your mother-in-law will be happy. Colin

Mel, He is just wonderful! I really love the shoe, it just sneaks right out from under the robe. He beard is great ... you rolled the gouge lines right under the bottom and the coloring is great. Your Mother-in-Law is one lucky lady! Didn't you say he is your original design as well! Susan |

Thumbs Up Hi Mel, I too like your santa very nice work. The list draping around your santa is a creative idea. I thought the tan shoe was a terrific change from the usual black shoe. Oh and those bright gloves are really cute. When I can I take photo's of my work out side too. The natural light is the truest light for photographing our work. I use to have an area in my side yard in California that I set-up for my out door photo studio. Real cheap too! Kathy PS: I like seeing your santa in the out door setting too.
