Nice job on the carved couples! Maybe some glasses on the mrs? Or how about the buttons painted like peppermints or even a candy cane pin on the capes?
Its hard to get older womens faces to look right. I have carved alot of grandma dolls and those faces are touchy. LOL

OH..and laugh lines on the outside of the eyes.. sometimes that helps too.

One more time...I decided to try something different. Inspired by a little porcelain doll my wife has had for (insert large number) years. Eyes look a bit strange to me at the moment, but should be OK once they're painted.
