Default Rustic Santa Ornament

It's been a long time since I have posted anything not that I am a regular contributer to the forum. I made this Santa ornament from a piece of a dead stick that came off the White Pine in my backyard. It's a little over 7 inches long and about an inch and a half wide. I have donated him to the United Way fundraiser at work. So far the bid is $62.50 Please feel free to give your honest feedback. I can take it.

Brian

Hi Brian,
I love your santa ornament......you did a terrific job of the carving and the painting. He is worth every penny of that bid. I hope it goes higher.

Sorry, Brian - it isn't worth a penny over $134.27! Smile

Great looking stick - hope the United way can get it's true value!

Absolutely beautiful ornament! Those worthwhile auctions can really generate a lot of cash for good causes and the United Way is a good one. They are a very big contributor to the Boy Scouts of America.

Great work on both counts!

Brian,

A very nice ornament, love its "old style" look, great paint colors, and I think your method of hanging it really adds to its old style Santa character. Good job. Bill

I liked it so much I saved the pictures... imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?

I'm a Santa-Fan myself, and this one is great! There's a lot for me to learn there!

Thanks for posting'm!

Great Santa, just goes to show you, there ain't a piece of wood safe around a woodcarver. Very thoughtful to donate it to a good cause.
