Default Right down to the wire

As usual I worked on Christmas Presents right up to the last day. However the interruptions were welcome and enjoyable, mostly friends and family stopping in to visit.

It’s a bit off topic but thought I’d share. I made a 5 box nest of Oval Shaker
Boxes for the each of the kids and a few Santa’s, some for my wife and some for the daughters and daughter-in-laws.

Nice set of carvings, Ed - did you use real bells on the Santa, or are they carved and painted?

Thanks for the kind words. The Santa is a Michele Carville design and roughout. I carved the Santa and my wife painted it. The bells are carved in place and painted. A funny thing, while carving the bells I didn’t crack or lose a one but while cleaning up the folds in his gown I nipped the top off of one and had to glue it back. It was fun to carve and my wife’s painting makes my carving look good.
I made about 50 of the boxes and can go awhile before I do another.
