Default Relief carving of a Christmas tree

I got my tree finished ( with the help of skilled friends!). These pictures show the front and the back. The back is a little messy, but since it is not meant to be seen, and adds to the effect of candlelight seen through stained glass, I can live with it.

So this is it , my rookie effort! I learned a lot doing this (most importantly to start Christmas projects a lot earlier!)

It's a nice tree and a very good idea. Wasn't it fun?

And there's NO way you can start any project early enough. That's one of the rules in wood carving.

That IS a nice tree! And you finished it just in time FOR NEXT CHRISTMAS!

You are way ahead of the game already. Looks like you have some great design ideas to work with. Keep up the good work and let us see some more of your work.
