Default relief carving of a christmas tree

I am starting (probably too late!) on a Christmas gift. I have 'cut-out' a christmas tree approximately 20' wide by 30' high in 1 1/4 ' maple. I want to carve boughs in low relief. The final step will be to cut 1' round holes, place stain glass on the back of the holes, and attach votive candles to illuminate the glass.

Can anyone recommend examples of low relief carving of pine tree/christmas tree boughs? I have tried searching the internet, and I must be using the wrong search terms.

Thanks
