Woody, thanks for the nice comments. The santa in picture 4 is about 3 1/2 inches tall. I carved that while sitting at a local fall festival, and this cute little 4 yr old girl came up watched me carved the whole thing. Then, she offered me a dollar for it. I told her sure, no problem. She handed me a crumpled up dollar, and had this huge smile on her face. Her mom then leaned over and said her daughter had carried this dollar around all day, looking for something to buy. Her mom said this was the first thing she had chosen after about 2 hours of walking around carrying that dollar. I actually tried to just give the carving to her, but the girl insisted I take her money! It made my day!!! Stuff like that is one of the true perks of woodcarving!!!

Dan, I have not even taken up golf. I play about once a year with a set of borrowed clubs. I decide it was in my best interest not to pursue that god forsaken sport!!! HA!!!

Great Santa's! I carved a bunch this year and ended up giving most to friends and family, not including the exchange here. Love this time of year!
Merry Christmas!!

Thats some nice work on those santas. I really like the ones in pix 3 & 5. I am starting to do a few more santas and they are quickly becoming addictive. Thanks for sharing them.
