your pumpkins are outstanding! He reminds me of a cross between Yul Brenner and Harrison Ford. Maybe a little Jack Nicholson thrown in!

Hey Timber where can you get more info on Marks Method of finishing? Such as how many times do you apply the wash, do you just keep applying washes until you get the desired color or do you apply one wash then follow the other steps afterward?

I just apply one acrylic wash, dry it with a blow dryer and proceed to the next step. Mark explains his method very well and does a better job than I could. So...go to the "Message Board", 4th down is "Wood Carving Tutorials". It is somewhere in there, maybe 4th page or so.

I would like to thank Mark again for sharing this info. This technique is not something I would have thought of or tried, especially spraying satin lacquer on wet BLO. However, it works beautifully.

Halloween Spirit? Here's a pumpkin that has been getting into the spirit...maybe too much into the spirits considering those blood shot eyes. He's about 2 1/2 inches tall including the stem.

He's great! Love the blood shot eyes. He looks like he's about to toss his pumpkin seeds. I like the leaves on the stem too.
Thanks for showing him. Hopefully more will turn up between now and the scary night.

Great job on the pumpkins! In fact, they've inspired me to get back to carving. I've been in a carving slump for a while, so thanks!
