Default pumpkins

Anyone else getting into the Halloween spirit?
Lets see those wooden pumpkins.

This little guy "Snarling Pumpkin" is basswood and 2" tall.
My wife wants to take him to work so when someone becomes annoying she can just hold him up and snarl.

Great expression, the carving and painting are both great. Love how you did the washes on it, sure makes grain stand out nice.

Timberface,

That is a great expression. I love it. Next weekend I'm entered into a real pumpkin carving contest. I've only played around carving real pumpkins just a couple times. I'm trying to figure out what to carve. So, has anyone else here done any extreme pumpking carving like in relief I mean? Just trying to get some ideas.

Great looking pumpkin! Like Mel says, nice striking orange wash but the grain sure shows through. My guess is you soaked it with water well before applying the wash?
