Default proud of my student!

This image is of my neighbor/student who has only been carving for about 6 months. Here Mary sits with 220 Christmas ornaments that she will give away to each person on her paper route. She cares for her father, a stroke victim all by herself since her mom passed away last Christmas day. This woman is one of the strongest women I have ever met, and I just thought she deserved being bragged about.

You know, that lady has a sweet face, and she takes care of her Dad and she is carving ornaments for her customers? What say you send us her address and a few of us send her an ornament? I think she deserves it! Dave

Dave, and Tom, that is a very sweet thought. This woman has a lot of other stories behind her strength. She lost her son when he was 2 1/2 years old over 18 years ago in a wreck that was not her fault. She lost most of the use of her left ankle in that wreck and has been handicapped herself ever since. She is also trying to achieve a black belt in Karate (she's a red belt now). We walk, slowly together about 6 days a week in spite of how much pain she goes through to try to stay in shape.

7 years ago her Dad had a severe stroke, and he is completely unable to care for his own needs...wheelchair, no memory,....etc.

She splits firewood logs that my own husband rolled into the impossible pile, change all four brakes on her truck in 2 1/2 hours, and puts two broken lawn mowers together to make one that works. She is also generous, kind, and very loving to everyone she knows. I am lucky to call her "friend".
Jillsy sent her an ornament awhile back after I mentioned her. She loved it!
If anyone does want to send her an ornament, private message to me, and I will give you an address to send it to. But any compliment, or comment I will pass along as well. I'm sure it will give her a smile.
