Default Paint or stain Santa

Thought I'd try some more Santa earrings. The last time I painted them. But between the last time and now, my paint brushes have developed a wee bit of shake. So I thought stain.

Which do you all think? Paint, stain, or maybe natural?

IMHO - if you want people to see these tiny, WONDERFUL earrings - they really need to be painted.

yes-- some will like each -- some wont buy if they arent painted and others will buy the stained ones-- because they arent painted-- do some of each-- ive had things that wouldnt sell-(painted) and when i changed colors-- they were the first ones out the door. go figure !

Looks like it's a good thing that Claude PM'd me and gave me an excellent suggestion on painting (when your brushes get a bit shaky). I have started to paint the small Santa's. I stick a straight pin into the bottom of the carving to hold it. Just three colors, flesh, white and red. I'll leave some to stain, but it looks like the consensus is paint....

Thank you all, for your comments and suggestions. This is the real reason for the success of this Board/Forum.
