So, what's up with this idea? Is it a go or what? Being new, I'm not sure how it works, so if it's a go, how about some details?

thanks,
mikeg

Hey all I would be interested too. Schedule is very busy, but I should be able to get at least two done. Let me know how it works. I was cruising the net not long ago and found a Santa carving exchange, signed up, but have not heard anything yet. Don't know if I did or didn't get in, or if the whole thing fell through. Let's do it. hve fun, carve oldbearx2

You can count me in as well, and no you wont need a fork lift to pick mine up at the post office. ( I got that in there before Dave did).
My mailing address is on the Purchase page of my web site as soon as I recieve yours I will mail one out.
Having said that I had better get to the work shop and start carving ornaments.
Colin

Old bearz...hummm spelling? anyway, if you signed up for the W3E carving exchange swap, you will be notified, Matt Kelly keeps track of everything and when all is ready he will notifiy you....as for this swap, since others are interested...send to Dave Dunlap, PO Box 3691, Kingman, Az 86402 and I will put one in the box and send back....I have to do it that way to remember! LOL ok ok, you will be there too someday! :P

Bob,
I hope you have a good understanding of how an exchange works; you must carve and return one ornament for each one you receive.

At last count, there were 1409 members and I would guess five times that many guests. That comes out to a little over 8000 carvers; if 10% decide to send you an ornament, you will need to carve 800 ornaments before Christmas and the shipping alone will cost you over $1500.00.

I suggest you arrange for individual swaps to maintain some control of your time. (Just a thought)
