| | Re: Ornament Exchange? About August we can start thinking about making up a list....in the meantime, lots of time to get the carvings started. I think people that sign up however should be responsible enough to complete their obligation and it is an obligation, no problem receiving others carvings but not wanting to take the effort to send any out, a sign of the times again I am afraid! As for those that participated....thank you !! Its a lot of fun to receive the carvings, like having a bunch of mini=christimas' lol (also fun to try to match the carving to the recipient) i.e. Kenny got a flat deer ha ha sorry Kenny, couldn't resist! |

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Dave, I like the others didn't receive any from those folks. I have to agree with Greg 'I'm sure mine found a good home.' Some folks have good intentions, but can't follow though. It's to bad they couldn't have let us know they were unable to keep their part of the 'Exchange.' I do feel we would have been more understanding. I'm in for the 2007 Ornament Exchange already thinking about what I want to carve--I promise no flat Cradle Dolls this year. LOL

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Not that the other ornaments weren't great, because they were, but HiHo, sent one that really got to me. Took on a whole new meaning of "Stoned Reindeer" Loved it and have it display right beside his bigger Santa I have of his. The ornament was well thought out, carved and painted. as were the other ornaments I recieved. I can say I recieved better than I gave. I will work on that for sure.
I am in for the 2007 ornament swap and put aside the not recieveing from a couple feelings as feelings are easily changeable.. |

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? oops! Sorry, I did not intend to rattle any cages. I know that many carvers have done their share of charity chips and I also think that the ornament swap is great. I was merely trying to get a feel if anyone would be interested in joining me in the ornaments for kids project. It would require about 300 ornaments. Some of these will be from our local club and nearby clubs, but we cannot meet that number with our membership. |

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Not in a cage so it wasn't rattled. I tend to forget newbies haven't been around to know what others on the board have done in the past as far as donating carvings.

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? I intend to swap again this year. I have already started carving. No soup can for HiHo this year. I also came up about 3 short. Evelyn asked me a few weeks ago to take down the x-mass swap ornaments still hanging in the living room. " It's almost Easter". Now they are on the wall in the computer room.
