| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Just to keep it in perspective....I pulled the names off of the thread to show who is showing interest and put numbers to the list.
14 so far, and that is only 13 ornaments to do, since each of us in on the list. I sent 12 ornaments out last year on my list.
I don't know how to make a limited list either after giving it some serious thought, unless when posting your name and address you announce that you would like to trade with "some number" through private message contacts, and then repost to say you're number has been reached when you are contacted by that many folks. The general trade would not include your info.
Just a suggestion.

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? what if we cut this list off right here and if anyone else comes up and wants in we start another list.if that list doesnt grow and we only have a few on the second list then we can include them on the first list. if it does grow then each list can trade with the one you are on and then next year we can figure a way to swap list so we will trade with a new group.
bart
and i am gonna keep a list this year.

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Not that I don't want tons of ornaments or send out lots... let's see how many opt in and put all the names in a hat and divide it into like 2 equal lists... or if enough in 3 lists? Depending on total.. do like 10 to 15 per list?? Sounds fun fun fun... I am excited.

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? Can we do a poll to decide how it will be done this year, or do we just want to go with this list and then start a second one like bart recommended? I'm just ready to start trading!

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? I agree that all of these ideas are workable. Maybe we should first decide on a "cut-off-date" for getting on the list....I suggest the last day of August. Then, if there are up to 20 names, we divide the list into 2 lists, if there are up to 30, 3 lists, we can do that alphabetically just to show no favoritism. So, everyone should plan on 10 to 15 ornaments to trade...( If there are 28 names, we two lists of 14....29, one list gets an extra name). Over 30, same division applies.
Is that a go? or does someone have another suggestion? I think 10 to 14 ornaments with this much advanced notice is doable even for beginners. You do get better and faster with each one.

| | Re: Ornament Exchange? thor,
that works for me like you said we need to go ahead and decide and make it concrete. last day of august is fine with me.
