ALL FINISHED! Meet my father in law, John McCaffrey! We early gifted he and my mother in law so they could have him up all season-They loved him! She collects Nutcrackers and always buys one's that look like Grandpa He makes big bells from old oxygen bottles so when we couldn't decide what he should have in his hand, my husband said a bell, I was thrilled! It finished him of perfectly! For the first one, I am pretty happy. Can't wait for the 2nd and especially for the 3rd!
Have already started a "solid" one, where his head is not a sepperate unit. It's cominh along GREAT!
Merry Merry Everyone!

Great nutcracker and great story to go with it, Keoma.
I have made 5 on the lathe, but this year decided to carve one.
I posted it in WIP section. My wife loves nutcrackers, and I think she got
our granddaughter hooked on them. The one I posted is for our granddaughter.
She loves monkeys as well as nutcrackers, but like all teens, their minds change with the weather. LOL!
