Default New Style Santas

Here are a few that I worked on yesterday. The red and blue santas are wearing their night caps. As you can probably tell, the deft spray is still wet on them. Thanks for giving it a look!

Those are some of the nicest ornaments I've seen. You seem to have a well-tuned finishing system too as I personally really like being able to see that "hint" of wood underneath... makes 'em much more interesting.

You've given me some great ideas for decorating the tree Blake. If I start early enough next year, I should have a tree of only home made orn'ts.

Very very nice Blake. And with those "ties" on them they will stay on the tree. Tom H

Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I have to say that I have enjoyed carving these ornaments more than any others!

Tom, as for the ties, I actually put those on there to hang them and let them dry after I sprayed them with Deft. I use the BLO, Acrylic paint wash, and deft spray finish and like for them to hang dry in the shop before putting them on the tree. After they are dry I then cut the ties off and put real ornament hangers on them.
