Thanks, everyone - for such wonderful words of support and encouragement! Friends like we have here are sure enough precious gifts.

You thought I was gone already, didn't you? Well, I was. For a minute or two. But now I'm back. But I'll be gone again soon..........

I've been struggling with complications from what was to be a 'simple' tooth extraction - ended up with an infection and 'dry socket' and unbearable pain, blah blah blah. Antibiotics and pain meds now, which are helping, but it's a slow process. Waited as long as I possibly could to start my trek to Ohio, but knowing I'd never make it in time if I didn't get out of here by today, I packed the car, and left Seattle this afternoon. 120 miles later, the pain and nausea was so bad, I just couldn't go any further without some pain relief - but my driving would be even worse if I took my meds, so.....what? Well, after doing a bit of crying, then stopping to sit awhile in a forest park wrestling with 'shoulds' and 'cans' and other such traveling companions - I realized this was NOT going to work. Soooooooooooooooo......I turned around, came back home, took my meds and went to sleep. (Okay, I do admit to finally taking the pain meds about 30 minutes before I actually got back home)

I just made a plane reservation for Thursday morning so I'll be at my Angel's wedding no matter what. After all, my bags are already packed :-)

Still in Seattle,

Well, Teri -- that's the pits.
I'm so sorry you're having pain and trouble.
Of course it's wonderful that you'll still make Angel's wedding - you couldn't miss that - but, gee, I'm sorry you won't be driving through Missouri. (Longo won't drive up here just to see me).

Take care of yourself ((((((Teri)))))))

Teri...you might want to ask the Dentist if the Altitude flying will effect the tooth (or lack of it!) ???
