| | | Nativity Help The small country church building where I grew up, something over 150 years old, caved in a couple months ago. Everyone was devastated - but NObody was hurt, thank heavens, since it was empty at the time. It's going to be rebuilt, and they have asked me to use some of the old wood from the building to carve a nativity for the new building - a keepsake kind of thing.
Does anyone have any pictures or patterns I could look at to get ideas for doing it? |

| | | Re: Nativity Help Teri,
I have worked a couple of patterns for Mary, Joseph, and ![006[1]](http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/forum/images/smilies/006[1].gif) Jesus. I have carved the prototype for Mary and Joseph kneeling at the manger. I was thinking about doing three peices a year. Second year three wise men, third year the shepards fouth year the animals. I was also working on a manger. It is on the back burner right now as I don't have time to work on new patterns. If you are still looking for ideas I will send you some photos of what I have so far.

| | | Re: Nativity Help Teri, I found this site on a search, it might be really helpful. http://www.growley.com/nativity-small.html
It has a bunch of nativity icons and you just move them around in the picture. It says you can change the depth too, but I can't get that to work.
