Default My 2005 Santa's

Well, I have made the deadline for another year.
I have a week to carve something for me, maybe finish that Kestrel i have on the shelf.
I made a few Santa walking sticks this year and added some jingle bells to let one and all know I am coming. I got the idea out of one on my wifes Tole painting books.
One of them I made into a convertible by mnot gluing Santa onto the dowel and making up a Wizard for the summer season as a topper.
I gave it away last night before I had a picture.

Have a great Christmas and a New Year.

Wonderful Santas, and the trains are terrific! The paint on your Santa's is so rich and red! Love the finish.

The cane was a great idea too. The bell finishes it off perfectly.

Wow.. nice nice nice!! I would like to learn how to make nice chubby cheeks like that.

I put bells on my sisters walking stick. She is scared to death of snakes..and all we have up here are gardner snakes. But if it makes her feel better... I put bells half way down the stick for her. A fella thats a friend of hers goes hiking where there are bears..and he asked for a stick with bells on too.

Thumbs up Re: My 2005 Santa's

Nice carvings Bob, the bells on the walking stick are a very cool addition. I know they make Bear Bells in Alaska which are large jingle bell, I might add that on a walking stick if I can find one.

The bells come from the local Dollar store, the leather comes from a flea market and the chubby cheeks on my Santa's are from watching Colin at the gym.
He is a great study when he is working out with all of the young ladies crowding around him.( just kidding Colin) the cheeks are actually from the wood spirit style I use.
