Default Mtn Ornaments

Theses are cut from mtn laurel tree branches then I relief caved them. Thier sizes are from 1 1/2 -2 1/2 inches disc. Painted with acrylics, mate finish with semi-gloss on the bark and the unpainted wood around the carvings.

Theses take longer to paint than it does to carve them due to you have to paint all the cut edges around the carving also or when they are hanging on eyes hooks and different color'd cords{which I will be doing today} the carving will look unfinish in areas. Tacky looking!

Didnt carve many as I did last year but every year starting in Nov,I carve alot more of theses for people where my wife works plus other carving for Christmas gifts.

Hope you like theses and your thoughts or comments are always welcome.

Thks' Forrest

Thank you Ed!! I hope they like them, last year I did alot more, think they was eating them! LOL
This last show next wk end people are there buying Christmas gifts, had a young cpl and the man stared and looked this high dollar carving I had and they bought 2 smaller things and about 15 mins later, the woman of that cpl came back to our booth,I want that carving my husband liked for one of his Christmas present. Plus I have some people that attend every show Im at and I still have a consignment job I have to have ready for this coming show. Im looking forward to some time off next month to carve something I want!{plus I have now over 500 honey do's from my wife to get done} I appreciate you Ed for your nice comments and hope you are haven a nice wk end.
Forrest

P.S.
The two smaller things the lady in that cpl bought, was 2 of my ornaments.

WOW, Forrest you just keep them coming. One of these days, I hope to do at least in some small measure what you can do with wood.
