| Thank you Thor, I think she will like it too, Mom really loves her flowers. I've gained a new appreciation for relief carving, that rose was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Nancy, thank you for the kind words. The new "Contemporary Antique" division is my new love and very soon I will start work on an Old Squaw like the one below by Tom Matus. Sonny (the cat) is trying to make biscuits with a rock!..poor ol feller ....I think my wood carving has left him starved for attention but I'll make it up to him after this project is finished. Tom Matus took 1st, 2nd and 3rd BOS in the Gunning Pairs at the Ward Championships 2006, I think the pair below is one of his but I'm not sure. Thanks Greg and Mary, the Rose was a Rossiter roughout and it was also the hardest roughout I've done so far but still fun. Bill |
