Default Merry Christmas to me !!

I've said often enough that the only reason that I ever started carving was Ron Ransom's first book.....Well, I just bought myself an original Ransom Santa directly from Ron. I'm so proud and tickled I can hardly stand it.
And I bought dear husband a pair of 'Speed' Joiner green wing teals as a special surprise to go with socks and underwear I usually get him.

Ron Ransom did not get me carving, that was a PBS progam starring Mr. Butz, but Ron's book started me on Santas. Someone, please, help me....I can't stop.....

I also got started with mr. Butz first book he published and never looked back. I can't seem to keep up with the requests for Santas each year. I just recently increased the size of my shop , more elbow room. Hope you had a merry christmas

I got the blocks all sawed out for the stackable santa
(Holiday 2001 cover) If the torso & head section on page 40
were to scale it sure would have simplified things. I could wing it on all the rest! My scanner doesn't figure percentages all that well. Pineyknot

I just started reading this Board and love all the comments. Its interesting to see others got started by Rick Butz. I videotapped all his PBS programs on one tape years back and still watch it from time to time. Thanks for all the great comments on this site...seems I found a great bunch of people with common interests.
