Dave:
No pattern just a 3"x3"x5" triangle shaped block,then carve everything away but the Santa.I am going to reduce it and make my wife a new pin for her jacket,I make her one every year.

MarK G has a lot of peoples attention with that ornament ..... I have one cut out sitting on my work bench awaiting a start. Didn't know about the triangle idea though, just cut it out from a 3" x 1" piece of Butternut that was handy, though I like your 3" x 3" x 5" split diagonaly better. Oh well, just take a little longer. Well done piece Mark, both Marks actually!

It kind of looks like a Gargac but then, it definitely has your style for sure. Nice one!
