Default Holloween Witch

When our club had the "Bishops" seminar last month, I purchased some extra roughouts, this is their "Witch Broomhilda".

Basswood, 12" X 5", acrylic paints, Deft spray finish. I painted the eyes black for a gloomy/mystical look, and the skin an off shade of pale green instead of flesh color. Anyway, she'll be out by the candy bowl all month long.

Great job Bill really wonderful carving. That is quite a large carving and you have captured Broomhilda in all her witchyness. Always glad to see anything you do my friend.

Bill,
Great job on the witch, it sounds like they will be having some interesting new roughouts for next year as well...

Bill, Shoot, get rid of the eye mascara and she ain't 1/2 bad....Well I've seen much uglier. Now, as for the carving and finishing - that's 100%. Great job. Tom H

Must get my hands on a "rough out" to encourage me try a carving like that. The trick or treaters should be entertained when they feast their eyes on her come Halloween. Great job.

Hey Bill neat witch, she seems kind of friendly though. Be careful with her.

Hey Bill, I really like the way you were able to capture the draping folds in her dress. I always have a hard time achieving this look. It's fun seeing Halloween carvings!
