Hi all, I call this spoon a holiday spoon because I think it could be fore Christmas or Easter. It is 8x3" made from butternut and finished with waterbased poly, and feed &wax. comments welcome. Feb

Nice spoon Feb, would butternut be good for a usable spoon if it was oiled properly? I have a large piece here and am planning on trying some spoons after Xmas is over. Cliff |

Thanks all for your kind cimments. I'm not sure what to put on it but it would be good. I know to water proof itthey use gel varnish and minerial spirits, but that doesn't sound good for an eating spoon. Feb
