Default Ho Ho's Big and Small

I'm heading down to Charlotte tomorrow and thought I would post some pictures of a few things I will be taking with me. I'm not so sure I will be entering all of them into the contest, but I thought I would take them anyway just in case. As you can tell, I have been experimenting with the little guys.....but still can't do them like Gene does! Trying flat plane on Santas, but still using the gouges for beards and giving them some details in their face.

Let me know what you think! As you can tell, the dark watco wax is still wet on them. When it dries it will lighten some and give me just the look I am looking for!

Hope to see some of you down there in Charlotte! Thanks for looking!

Blake

Hey Blake, Great group and an assortment of sizes, each with his own unique look. Good luck at the show. One day I'd love to attand one of them there big Yankee shows and meet some of the giants in the hobby, maybe one day if I can stay mobile long enough.

Blake, what a nice assortment. The carving is very well done, and the finish really sets them off. Only wish I was going to see em in person.. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed looking at the little fellows , think I like the smallest one best. Is that waco wax the same as a dark danish oil.
Thanks for posting
