Default Hey Santa Carving Lady...

...have you ever carved a St. Nicholas? After seeind your gorgeous 'Dinner Guest' I thought you would a very neat St. Nick. I bet it would look really neat with your style of painting on the coat. Just a thought, Lorax

I don't know....depends on what is meant by 'St. Nicholas', I guess....I did an image search on it and it came up with santas of every shape and size. Got a picture of YOUR idea of St. Nick? Love to see it and play with it.

Sorry, I dont have any pics of St. Nicholas. Basically the look is the same as santa, but his coat doesnt have a hood, instead he wears his bishops mitre (like the popes' hat) and he has a staff. The top of the staff I have seen with both a shepherds crook and a celtic looking cross.

Oh, no, I don't do those guys with the mitre (hat) things. I don't know why, but they have just always turned me off. I've had requests to do some, and just can never bring myself around to it. Who knows...probably some deep-seated problem from childhood :-)
