Default Gibbs Grandson's first carving!

Hello Gang, We wanted to show our Grandson's first carving all by himself! Curtis taught him to carve when he was fourteen and he gave it up for teen things.. Now he is 26 and twelve years have passed and he has decided he wants to carve. We have posted it on our PictureTrail site under the Album Carvings... fourth Album, his are the first ones on there.
We are so thrilled that he is carving now and without any help. He doesn't believe anyone will think it is good, so I told him to look at this site... and see if he has any comments...Curtis and Charlotte :

Charlotte and Curtis,
Jacobs carving is great what an excellent carving for his first one it looks like a santa my first carving didnt look that good. I see by the pictures he had some very fine tools are they his or yours. I am sure that even though he carved it all by himself that he got some sound advice from the santa carvers supreme. With role models like you guys how can he go wrong looks as if your doing well with the new Windows HP as well. Have a great Christmas an will talk to you later.
Colin

Thanks Colin, your are a VERY nice person... I am sure Jacob will see this and be incouraged. Curtis gave him good advice when he was young, but he did this by himself this time and we were very incouraged as to his ability.
Those tools are Curtis', he got a kick out of you mentioning his knives... He made most of them.. He does deserve a Carvin Jack, doesn't he, wheather he uses them or not...lol
Thanks to Jacob, we have our documents straightened out and all my patterns, pictures etc. Things are much better with the XP , thanks..
You too have a very nice Christmas way up there in Canada with lots of snow. We will have one down here with the gators! Ha

;Hi Ho, you always give us a good laugh... Oh, Oh, don't tell Jacob that....I told him that if he keeps going he might get good enough to put a call into Cease... Takes a lot of practice though.
Harold Gibbs is our oldest son. He is now a retired Police Major form the Waycross, Police Dept. He was in a serious motorcycle accident last year and has a long way to come back... We hear that you are a retired Police Officer also, and Colin... Yes there are a lot of law inforcement officers on here. Thanks for your encouraging words to Jacob. Merry Christmas from the CUT_UPS ! lol

Like father like son. Nice carvings. Tell Jacob not to bite so hard on his tongue while he is painting. Its good to see all the cops in here...less chance of getting a ticket. Best regards
Ric
