Default Full Santa

Here's a santa I have been working on for the last week or so in my spare time. He is from a Gary Falin roughout. He stands almost 8" tall and is finished with acrylic washes, deft, and dark satin wax.

Thanks for taking a look!

Blake

Blake, I echo what has been said. Nice clean cuts, love the coloring and the dark wax sets it off. OUTSTANDING carving.

Keep on Keeping on!

Hi Blake,

You know what I like best about this carving? It may sound really strange, but the cuts you put in him to simulate wrinkles, where the folds in his arms would be, where the buttons are, etc. To me, these fine details really bring out the carvings.

Thumbs up Re: Full Santa

Blake .. He is wonderful .. I really like the new style you are painting with now ... You introduced it to us in your last piece ..

It gives it a softer more antique look ... and it blends in beautifully with your piece .. and of course those eye's are always great ...

Wonderful carving and painting ole friend ..

Gene
