Default Flag Pin

Since July 4th will be here soon (relatively speaking...), I thought I'd make a little flag pin. The pin measures 1.375 inches long and 3/4 inch high. Made from a scrap of 1/4 inch thick basswood scrap. The pin back is held on with 5 minute epoxy.

Very nice work for such a small project Claude. Maybe I'll do an Uncle Sam now that you got me inspired.

Claude,

Neat flag.
I carved a bunch of those with a flag pole just after 9-11.
Funny how people forget so soon. Well, either that are they didn't want my carved flags. I found the paint pens work wonders on those small flags. Make sure the paint from one color is dry before applying another color. Don't ask me how I know. Never did like pink.

Paint pens...Hmmmmm....Good idea, Kenny - I'll have to try something like that. I have some relatively fine permanent markers. Perhaps satin varnish on the wood first, so the marker doesn't sink in and spread...

This little pin was generated as I sat at my work bench, looking at my Santa pin, and thinking about up-coming holidays.
