Another new concept on a familiar theme. Brilliant! Your paint job on the fish part is really good.

Thanks for all the great comments folks, you are the best. And Curt, it was supposed to be a trout hat but since I am known as the bassman at the local clubs where I demonstrate fly tying and casting I guess "Fishy" can be a smallmouth with a large nose.lol

I love it!! I too love to fly fish...it is more of an obsession. Great job on the elf. Very unique!

Elliot,
Great idea. Is that a rainbow trout hat or bass hat?

Just goes to show what a good imagination can help create. Good way to combine hobbies.

Well done!

Many thanks again folks, Yes Fishy Elf is Santa's litlle trout elf. He's the little guy in charge of making all the fishing presents us fisher people love to get at Christmas. New rod, reels waders, boots lures or flies. So much "stuff" to put on Santa's wish list eh?

Actually "Fishy" is not too happy at present as he would prefer to be out fishing himself instead of making fishing gear.
