| | Fireplace Stocking Hangers Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find a pattern for a fireplace stocking hanger. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

| | Re: Fireplace Stocking Hangers Carve something like these, but put a curl in the beard to hang the stocking from. lly, the curl should go toward the fireplace, not out into the room, as that will help prevent the shelf elf from falling off the mantel.

| | Re: Fireplace Stocking Hangers Hi Tucker, Thanks for your suggestion. Chipping Away was the first place I looked, they're a great resource. Unfortunately they had nothing that could really help me out. Their suggestion was to search the internet and books or try and come up with my own pattern. Not too many people have heard of stocking hangers (including myself). I did find a site that sells them that I can get design ideas from. Thanks again for your help, Shawn http://www.ornament-shop.com/stockingh.htm. |

| | Re: Fireplace Stocking Hangers Hi Claude, the carvings look great, an excellent idea. I have done shelf elfs myself, they're a fun project. I will definitely make a couple into stocking hangers. Thanks for your help, Shawn |
