Default Finished Painted Snowman

Well I got the Shipley snowman all painted and then finished with raw umber oil paint and BLO. I am ok with how it turned out. I have done a lot of miniature painting like military model figures, perwter models and wargaming figures and such but painting wood is another whole ball game. I got the hang of it a little better as I got to the coat. Anyway, on to the next project, critques definitely welcome.

Thanks for looking,

Corey

Corey,

I think we are witnessing a star being born with your new found talents in carving.

The snowman turned out fantastic and I can't believe it is only your 2nd carving. You sure left me in the dust on this one buddy.

Super fantastic job!

Thank you guys, I do appreciate it. Bob, you just haven't gotten started yet! You will be hooked when you do. I think the next one will be Gene's video Santa project... but so much I want to do.

Corey,
Great job on the snowman. I am carving a Christmas Chess set and my bishops are going to be snowmen. Thanks for the inspiration.
