Thought I would try a different color with these.

Those are so cute! I like the different colors, too, and the little glasses really add a nice touch!

Nice job on the Santa's. The green and blue background colors look a bit "metalic" which certainly adds a nice Christmas touch. Thank's for the posting.

Nice Carvings GaCarver... I like the metalic look also.. Might I suggest putting a black pupil in the eyes... with a small white dot in it... Thanks for letting us see them .. They are real cute.. Charlotte another Ga.Carver

Hi, and I'd like to join the gang also in congratulating you on some nice Santa carvings. I like your colorful painting of them too!

Hi GAcarver,
Very nice Santas.....I agree with Charlotte about the pupils. Your pieces are lovely but pupils would make a big difference. Something I learned the hard way too......tiny pupils will make the expression look a tad insane.....even scary. Large pupils make the expression look benign, friendly, even benevolent..... do a sketch on paper first to see what I mean. Your noses are excellent! That is a difficult feature to do and yours are very well done.
Over all, a great job. You should be proud.
