| | Easter Bunny My wife asked me to carve a bunny for our 2 year old grandson for Easter, so here's the result. Carved out of basswood, finished with a wash of burnt umber for the dark fur, and natural wood for the lighter areas, then water-based varnish and a coat of floor wax. The eyes and nose have a thin coating of epoxy so they're very shiny. Stands about 5 inches tall.

I modified the original pattern that appeared in "Carving Wooden Critters" by Diane Ernst. The wax is Johnson's one step liquid...
