Default A Different Snowman Ornament

I can't take credit for the design, while out in a restaurant the other day, they had these 10" size plastic snowman ( probably from China, LOL) as center pieces on the tables. So I snapped up a picture with my cell phone and thought it would make a cute little ornament.

Basswood, 4" X 2.5" acrylic paints with deft satin finish.

I think what sets this piece off with its "cuteness'' is that its facing left-center instead on straight-on looking. I carved the backside out for weight removal and to make it a little different.

Hope you enjoy. Bill

That's a great ornament. Turning the face really does add something to it. Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding job Bill! Ya did a great job on the carving and finish work.

Now how many pounds of coffee do I have to buy before I get a free one? Sarcastic

Very cool! One of my carving students (in her seventies) has nine grandchildren, She carves them Christmas ornaments each year. So far they have eleven ornaments and it is the one present they look forward to every year. I am going to send her a blank of this one....he is so cute!! I really like how you cleaned out the back.
Thank you for sharing.
