Default Did you all know?

Â* Â* I checked out the FolkWorks Gallery site last month when it was mentioned here. Â*It said there that the Gallery was featured in the September issue of Country Sampler Magazine. Â*Well, since I was interested I called and ordered that back issue. Â*It came today and you know what?! Â*In the EIGHT page spread it showed carvings by and named our own Nancy G!!! Â*I sure hope I'm not embarrassing you Nancy, but if it was me I'd be bursting at the seams!! Â*As it is, I'm showing everyone the article and telling them, 'that's the lady I talk to on my bullentin board!!!' Â*Congratulations Nancy, how great to see your work featured in a national magazine!! Â*Callynne

Callynne I'm about the only person in the world that can embarrass me and I do it real well 'cause I do it so often.
Cease, the owner of FolkWorks does a fine job of promoting the gallery (that is her home shown in Country Sampler) and its 'artists' (I hate using that word :P). We've all been featured in Midwest Living, Chicago Homes and other magazines.
In '97 one of my Santas got a full page spread to open a Santa article in Early American Life. They used a photo of his back to close the article. I was so proud : I carried that magazine aroudn with me until it fell apart.
However, my proudest 15 minutes is writing the foreword for Ron Ransom's book 'A Ron Ransom Christmas'. 100% of my carving I owe to Ron. He's my hero.

Aw, man, now I gotta go find that Country Sampler issue. Sounds like a cool article/spread.

Ron Ransom? Tell me how it is you owe your carving to him? I have a couple of his books - his instruction is pretty good. I think I agree that the coolest thing is writing the foreword for him. That's a cool thing, Nancy.

Â* Â* Wow Nancy, now I'm so impressed I'm practically speechless, which absolutely no one who knows me would believe for a moment! Â* Â*I'll have to check out Ron Ransom's book! Â*Congratulations again!
Â* Â* Teri, if you want the issue call 630-377-8399, it's $5.00 and will take two weeks to get to you. Â*Callynne

Â* Â* Okay, reread that and should clarify, I meant no one who knows me would believe the speechless part, not the impressed part! Â*They'd KNOW I was impressed! Â*Callynne
