| | Cypress knee Santas Pictured here are a few of our Santas carved strictly for the giftshops and sold wholesale in groups of 3 or 4. They are carved with nothing but power tools and painted with oils by my wife, Mary. I know these are not our best work but they are done very quickly in order to wholesale them. Hope you like 'em.

| | Re: Cypress knee Santas That's impressive! I would like to see more detail with a closer photo just to appreciate the differences in them. I haven't carved a Santa yet, but I'm studying others for inspiration.
Thanks for posting the image, and hope to see more.

| | Re: Cypress knee Santas Thor and anyone else interested-- I have a little power carving tutorial on carving a Cypress knee Santa if you want it. It is to long to put on here I think but I'll be happy to send it to anyone who wants it. No charge. All I would need is your E- mail address. However is is a LONG download so be prepared to wait. |

| | Re: Cypress knee Santas They have such great noses! I also like the texture you've used for th fluffy hat parts. That is a really nice touch to complete what you're calling a simple carving.
I would like the tutorial even though I don't use power tools. I'm trying to talk myself into buying some micro tools so I can get the detail in beards like the many Santa's I'm admiring.
