MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.

I really like the flow of the dove and the cay the tail is concave instead of flat. The rose is very realistic for such a shallow carving. Good job!

Thank you Feb and Joy for your nice comments. I appreciate them.
Joy, The Dove is an old duck pattern that I carve years ago for pins for a couple of wives of duck hunters. The rose Was carve years ago also for pins for ladies and had sold a bunch of them. Yes it is a little shallow of a carving but the oak allows for some great detail. My little bride asked that since I was carving ornaments how about a Christmas Dove and rose so she got them.ot to keep her happy. If she isn't happy, No one is happy. LOL

Thanks again for viewing and commenting.

Thanks Tom. In my haste to get-r-done, I stylize the dove and now see where it could be improved by lightly add feather details to it. Maybe a 1.5 mm gouge or very small v tool which I will have to get. Better tell my little bride I need more tools from Santa.
Again Thank you for taking the time to view and comment. I appreciate it.
