Default Christmas Ornaments....

Here are a bunch of relief type ornaments I have been working on. Took me way to long! These are Joslyn Santa's from the WCI - Handcarved Christmas Special. Carved from 3/8 basswood and painted in acrylics and oils, finished in satin lacquer. The snowmen are a pattern from Will Hayden. I love doint those. Anyway, no more ornaments for me this year... but I still have 3 Ross Oar pattern snowmen,3 roughouts and 2 cowboy boot sets to do for gifts and 3 pens to turn! I am tired just thinking about it.

Thanks for looking as always.

Corey

Hi Corey,

Man you have been a busy beaver! These are all fantastic but I have to tell you I just LOVE, LOVE the snowmen. They are just so adorable. The faces are so cute. Gonna be some happy people around with these ornies. You do such great pieces for as long as you have been doing this. Keep up the great work. You are inspiring.

Blessings,
Tina

Hi Corey,

Nice carvings and I agree with Tina about the snowmen. I think it's because orf their mouths. Nice job on the paint, too.

Don't give up yet. When you see the smiles on the recipients faces, it'll all be worth it.

Those are great Corey...you've been a busy little elf. I plan on doing a couple before the holidays but nothing like the volume your pumpingout. I particularly like the expressions on those snowmen.

They look great! Are they basswood? Also, how did you cut them? Are they cut cross grain or with the grain? What size wood did you start with to cut them?

Thanks!!

Hey Corey, you've done well, you are lucky that you are finished. I've done just about double that many and now have to paint them (I hate painting), I sure hope I get them all done in time. Yours all look great.

Thanks all, they were fun to do but sick of them! Mediamst, I used 3/8 thick thin basswood from Hienikee and cut them out on my band saw.
