| | Christmas Ornament swap time again! I have been slow this year getting going.....but the swaps are so much fun, I decided I better get on the ball......If anyone wants on the swap list this year, please send me in a private message your name, address, user name and email address.........we will get the list up and email it to all of you that enter as we did in earlier years......to Carol Leavy....I still have your email wanting in with the info, just let me know if you are still interested.. Oh...and due to a couple of people that signed up, received carvings but didn't do their part a couple years ago.....please do NOT sign up if you do not intend to fulfill your obligation! This is an obligation...to your fellow carvers, that you will complete the swap......for those in the past that were not honorable...I am very disappointed....for those that have completed the swaps and enjoyed the variety of christmas ornaments we receive......BRAVO Ice Cream |

| | Re: Christmas Ornament swap time again! Last year, as I recall, it must have included about a dozen participants. I think I remember them saying that was down a little bit from the previous year.
I had reservations about participating -- ranging from the time it would involve to my (lack of) skills -- but it turned out to be a great boost to my abilities and also resulted in about a dozen mini Christmasses as the ornaments arrived ... I felt like a little kid with all the anticipation.
If you're considering it -- go for it. You won't be disappointed.

| | Re: Christmas Ornament swap time again! Usually a dozen to 17 people and worth while. I enjoyed the one two years ago except for the ones who did not honor their commitment. Only two did not hornor their But all in all, great ornaments which I cherish putting out every year.
Funnny though, My little bride has decided that the ornaments I received that year are now HERS. Hmm, What is hers is hers and what is mine is her's also, I guess.

| | Re: Christmas Ornament swap time again! That's right Kenny! Aint it grand?!
I did a swap on another board before, we did not have to swap with everyone who participated, but instead names were pared up. It worked out really well. I do like the idea of a bunch of ornaments tho! How fun!

| | Re: Christmas Ornament swap time again! Well being a newbie, i would sign up, but my carving skills are not that good right now, But would like to see pics of all the ones that are done. This is just a thought, I have done knife swaps a couple of times and the way it was done was, all the names of the ones who wanted to participte sent in their names and a list was made in the order the names were sent in. The way it works is the name on top would send a knife to name listed below his and so on and the last name on the list would send one to the first name on the list. Worked out really well. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
