Default carving real pumpkins

I thought I would show my last years attempt at carving pumpkins. I used a kitchen knife and a box cutter. They were more trouble than they were worth...They have a very short lifespan. I tried almost everything to keep them looking good but about 5 days was the most any of them lasted.

Those are some cool looking pumpkins. I expect the trick or treaters ooo'd and oooow'd over them for some time.
