Default Candy Cane Basket

Every year I have fun putting out our Candy Canes in one of my baskets. This year I decided that I would add a small carving to the decoration.

So just imagine that the pines in the front are stuffed full of bright striped candy canes.

The two snowmen are done in 3/4" basswood and are 7" wide by 8" high with a two inch rectangle left below the snowmen as an anchor or support to make them sit properly inside the basket. They have been painted with acrylics. Since my basket is small I only used two of the three in the design.

Have fun with the pattern!

Susan

Great Carving, And thank you for the great pattern, My wife < Linda , is trying her hand at carving and I think she will love that one Susan. Her first one was of Santa and I think she did an amazing job for her first one. You can see it on my site. Thanks again and Linda says thanks as well Susan.

What a nice idea Susan. Thank you for sharing it with us. I think that would make a great set up for the Christmas Season.
