Perhaps this site will help. One of the most informative ones I have found.

Now Now Hi Lo, those of us from Canada with scottish blood flowing in our veins might have a tendency to paint our faces blue if someone happens to mention the name of Wallace in our presence.Smille

OH! Wow Hi-Ho , I guess that means where your at he is all red ! Should be easy to make an Arz. santa .. lets see

Instructuions for AZ Santa .
The Az Santa is a very simple production. You will need the following Items :

1) red paint
2) a bucket
3) sand ( easy to find)

Step 1 :
Take the finished carving and to make sure it is burr free , walk out into your back yard ( Front yard is optional)
roll the carving on the ground untill all burrs are clean.

Step 2
Set bucket down

Step 3
Put Santa carving in bucket

Step 4
Pour red Paint into bucket covering the carving completly.

You can replace step 3 with putting the paint in the bucket first and then dipping in santa.

Step 5
Remove Santa let dry

In this process don't worry about getting paint on your hands , no one will notice . This also protects your skin from sunburn , and with teh red color you will still look like a local!
