| | Re: Callyanne's Santa I had this same converstation with Deborah on our visit. She doesnt post in a regular post just in the Carvers Galleries. She doesnt want people to think she is bragging by posting every carving as a thread. I told her we all love to see her carvings but dont always have time to check the galleries. If you think the Santa and the Witch are fabulous you should see her new Santa with the geese. Not only is it out of this world beautiful but the sheer size of it is really impressive. She is not only a magnificent carver but also a wonderful person and I am proud to have her as a friend. (Deb post a picture of your new Santa)

| | Re: Callyanne's Santa That is a great carving, thanks for posting it for us Goody. I for one never thought Callyne was bragging, its nice to see what beautiful work she does. Now I know to look in the carvers galleries thanks to Colin. I really love seeing Callynes work, those closeups are great Goody.
Thanks again
Mel

| | Re: Callyanne's Santa That's one nice Santa...That said, I agree with Thomas. However, I find it much easier to view the photos posted within the threads. For some reason I find the galleries difficult to navigate. Thanks for posting Callyannes Santa. Tom H |

| | Re: Callyanne's Santa Geez Callyanne, yer making us all paranoid .... go ahead and post my dear, that's what we're here for, to share each others joys, happiness, successes and help each other in failures. No one thinks anyone is "crowing" here ..... unless the only time they post is to show something they made and never respond to others! You have always been a strong and passionate supporter and encourager of others, we are genuine when we say we want to see your work. You do good work and it inspires us to improve out own !!!
Please, post some of your work, please!!

| | Re: Callyanne's Santa Gee Goody, more pictures....Thank you very much!! I'm so pleased you liked my work well enough to take pictures. I hope Anna liked them and especially the painting!! Oh to be half, or even a fourth!! as good as Anna!!
Colin's right, I do feel weird posting pictures of my work on here (or the Galleries, like Tom H, I get lost in the Galleries!). I average two to three pieces a month and since I rarely have time to post more than a couple posts a week anymore, I'd feel embarrassed to spending that time posting pictures of my work. Especially when there is so much special work on here I'm not getting time to comment on!!
If anyone does feel like keeping an eye on my progress, just click on the link to by website below and then select 'Newest Carvings'. I put each piece on there for a little bit before moving them to their proper places.
Thank you all for all the compliments. Colin, I'm proud to have you as a friend too....even if you agree with Ben that I'm a little weird! Deborah
P.S. Okay, since you've asked and Colin likes him so much, I'll post pictures of my Father Christmas with swans. Colin, they weren't painted yet, that's why you thought they were geese.....at least I hope that's why! |
